MedSun Clinical Engineering Audio Conference: Current Issues in Medical Telemetry and Wireless Connectivity.

Medical Telemetry systems have evolved from simple systems that were designed to transmit an ambulatory patient's ECG waveforms, into advanced systems capable of transmitting multiple vital signs and other data (sometimes in a two-way communication scheme). At the same time, there has been an increase in competition for frequencies and spectrum space and heightened awareness of the potential for interference between systems. During this conference, a group of experts from FDA, Partners HealthCare System and ECRI will discuss current topics of concern in this area.  Ample time will be available for you to pose questions to the panel of experts and to share your experiences with this technology.
